Gold has been on the uptrend for quite sometime already. Not sure how much it will reach but definately will still go up. Just my 2 cents.
When the USD gain back its value at Q1 this year, gold price may goes down. Anyway, I just sold it recently for my first patch of gold with 34% ROI. :D
I bought my gold 1 or 2 years back the price of RM100 per gram and sold all around RM115 per gram for a profit around 15%..
After that, all the money is put in the share market and made more from it. Lolx.. ^^
Yes, actually I"m expecting it will drop. Thus, just sell it first. lol! :) In fact, it is dropping now. Luckily I sold it. :D
Wah bro, you sell high buy low.. Like that make money liow lor.. Chinese New Year never belanja makan? ^^
Lucky only... hahaha :)
Very humble you are. Where got lucky all the time woh? Once in the blue moon you tell me you are lucky i believe lar.. If always then it is no more lucky!
When belanja? ^^
When not earning, not sell then will never lost lor. :) That's why always lucky! :)
Ya, can belanja anytime when you come to PG. :) Hahaha...
Can it go up? Plan to invest...
If you ask me, I will say can for long term. :)
Hi ChampDo- am interested in gold investment. Any good suggestions?
(1) How to know the Malaysia gold market trend? I surfed but seeing variety of charts. :)
(2) Between buying and selling gold, do bank pose any surcharge (just like share). If yes, how is it working- how many %?
Cheers
Isn't this post contain the gold price trend that you're looking for in MYR?
The charge should be the difference between selling and buying price. I think it is around 4%.
Want to confirm, is the MYR chart calculated from the US chart and converted to RM, or is it the gold price from BNM?
No, the chart is sourced directly from http://goldprice.org/ :)
The gold prices are rapidly growing up. yes sometimes they fall but the price fall is negligible. so it is best to invest on gold.
That is so far still true but don't forget about the black swan event. :)
What is black swan event? ;-)
lol it is an unpredictable event. In this context, the gold price will drop badly out of sudden! :)

how do banks determine the gold selling and buying price daily?
when is the cutoff time from 24 hrs chart that banks arrive the selling/buying price daily?
It is updated daily based on the actual gold price in the market. I"m not sure if I answer you the question?
There is a period for you to have gold transaction. E.g. from 6 am -> 11 pm and I can't remember exactly. You can check with respective bank.
do you think it is the time to buy?
any idea about Genneva Malaysia ? Can i trust them?
Mei, sorry I"m not sure about Genneva but from their website it seems pretty reliable. What are the benefits of using Genneva than invest through bank? The service charge is cheaper?
For me, Gold is always a good time to buy. Just don't put everything in one basket and I think that should be fine.
Funny that I read back this post, Genneva is confirmed a scam now.
